The Carolina Challenge Cup (CCC) is an annual soccer competition held in Charleston over three days. The event features the Charleston Battery and three teams from the Major League Soccer (MLS). The 2019 edition saw the Battery play against the Chicago Fire, Columbus Crew SC, and Football Club Cincinnati last February. The four teams competed in a round-robin tournament for a total of six games ahead of the Major League Soccer and United League Soccer seasons.

Columbus Crew and Chicago Fire both finished the tournament with one win and two ties. The Charleston Battery team could not manage a victory over the major league squads, though they drew a 1-1 tie with the Columbus Crew.
