In May 2018, Manchester City in the UK was crowned champion of the 2017-18 Premier League, and in doing so, set a number of all-time league records. The team earned 100 league points to take the title, the most ever by a side, and established a 19-point margin over runner-up Manchester United, another Premier League record. Similarly, the significant point margin allowed City to capture the title with five games remaining, the earliest a side had ever locked up the top spot.

Just one season after Chelsea set a Premier League record with 30 wins, the 2017-18 Manchester City squad won 32, yet another record. The team’s 106 goals, 18 consecutive victories, and 16 road wins are all additional all-time records.
