Charleston Battery Sign Jamaican Forward Nicque Daley

A resident of South Carolina, Andrew Khoury is pursuing a bachelor's degree in kinesiology at Charleston Southern University. In addition to focusing on his education, Andrew Khoury works as a setup manager for the Charleston Battery of the United Soccer League (USL).

The Battery expects to have improved scoring depth for the 2019 USL Championship season after signing Jamaican forward Nicque Daley. The signing was made official March 22 and Daley was expected to join the team following federation and league approval. Daley spent the majority of the 2018 season playing with Clarendon College in his native Jamaica, where he led the team to an undefeated, DaCosta Cup-winning season by scoring 21 goals. He also scored a pair of goals in 14 games for Cavalier SC of the Jamaican National Premier League.

In addition to college and club games, Daley has represented Jamaica on the international stage at the U-17 and U-20 levels. Through five matches at the 2018 CONCACAF Championships, the 18 year old scored six goals, four of which came in a game against Saint Martin, and added two assists. He also led the team in shots with 24. The addition of Daley gives the Battery five forwards, with the others being Arthur Bosua, Ian Svantesson, Ataulla Guerra, and Zeiko Lewis.
